Exercise is a key component in maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. Exercise has also been shown to reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and increase energy. For these reasons and more, exercise plays an important role in the Lose It For Life Program.
Your exercise training will involve both strength training and cardiovascular conditioning four to six days per/week in a small group setting. Several training sessions will be offered throughout the day to accommodate various work schedules and provide flexibility for unexpected events.
Each training session will run between one hour and one hour and fifteen minutes and is intended to be challenging. They are meant to push you to discover just how hard you can work, how far you can go, and all that you are capable of achieving.
Each week will end with some kind of physical challenge (1-mile run, rowing, hiking, etc.). Similar to the medical evaluations, the physical challenges are intended to provide a “fitness baseline” from which personal improvements may be measured. Everyone in the group is expected to participate in the physical challenges. The challenges add variety to the workouts and allow fellow Lose It For Life teammates to support one another.
